Default Aliso Woods Trail Work Day with Share 8am

Aliso And Wood Canyons Wilderness Park Trail work
8:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Meeting place: Ranger Station park entrance
Time: 8am
Task: repair Meadows and Rock-it

Bring some comfortable clothes and a pair of working gloves.
Lunch will be provided

its time to give back people! As one of the first trails to reopen after the rains, its important to not let the trails at the park get any more eroded.

MOD Edit: Due to rain, this trailwork event has been postponed till March 15th. Genusmtbkr5

- Do you have to be a SHARE member?

No, should have a table set up if you would like information though.

So do you ride your bike up to Rock-it with a shovel and start filling ruts? I should probably have PM'ed.

No, most likely the tools will be driven in the SHARE trailer. Then those will hike up with tools. Show up and you'll be briefed.

Jeff the SHARE park rep should be coordinating who and what goes where, just meet at the lot and get your "marching orders".

I'd like to help, but I can't hike to the trail. I can ride my bike to the spot, but hiking is too much pressure on my knee. Should I still sign up?

Simply joining as a member helps support the effort. The Club money goes to improving the trail, support trail assistance programs and organize trail work on your favorite trails. PLUS discount at local bike shops...

Weird that I ran into Keith yesterday riding at Aliso... He's out recruiting people! Nice guy and he had gears...

Depends on the rain:

Light mist = still on

Heavy downpour = grasshoppers, there's always the local pub!

If there is a cancellation it will be posted Fri night or early Sat morning on this board. Other-wise, show up and take part.

Thumbs up

Sicker than a dog at the moment. Canceled my race plans for this weekend, so if I get to feeling better, I'll bring Jake, and help out.

Is Rock-It in "bad shape" right now? Last time I rode it, it was fine, and fun.
