I've never ridden there, but it looks like a worthy challenge! Any guess on the percent grade?

I think it's a 400 ft elevation gain, over 0.5miles. We'll have to head out and GPS it--all of the geoladders routes start at the parking lot.

Come on you guys, who doesn't like a good pole climb?
I don't know a lot of guys who do. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

That would put it around 15.5% grade average.... so I'm guessing the trail condition comes into play..... any links to the GPS routes?

Are you going to SS? If my back is feeling good, I'm in.

Gotcha. During the CC I rarely went out of my lowest gear. Cool, but odd in that I kept pace with guys who were spinning a tad bit faster than me. What the f? I later checked my cogs and my the largest was a 32t.

I'll train to be a sprinter, in that way, once i stall, all i have to do is push the bike and sprint up to the top. its legal , right? its a race to the top anyways.

Hmmm... so that means that as long as I can start on the hill (any Cyclocrosser can ) then I can ride my fixed 2x1 and stop to puke on the way up right? Just as long as I make no forward motion while puking

i've tried poles twice now. the first time was on my dawg supreme, i got half way and thought i was having a heart attack. i rested for 5 min and did the rest. the 2nd time i was on my xc bike, made it about 3/4 of the way and spun out. that hill is a mother.

Do you just show up and race, or do you have to sign up for it somewhere? If you have to sign up, where do I do that?
