I wouldn't think it would be le mans style. Timed release is more likely. I too am interested in this climb, maybe we can get more clydes to do this....

How about a special award for the most puke?

It's a timed release start.

The trail is next to "I think I can", if heading in from the main pkg lot (the paid lot), Poles is to the left of "I think I can"

I think west cut across goes by the lower and upper camp grounds but I could be wrong.

How many runs/heats are there? I looked at the link and there isn't much/anything really posted up yet.
To put it in perspective--at Daley, Cougar Ridge from the bottom of Bobcat to the intersection at the top is a 350' gain in .40 of a mile. The one being discussed here sounds sadistic and cruel. I may be in.

I'm all for it actually. I'm sure that I'll be able to do it, there's no doubt there...the question is...how fast can I do it? I've got a few secret spots to practice on for the elevation gain, and sprinting steep shiz. One other thing I'm curious about is how loose is it...is there a lot of traction, is it rocky, is it smooth clay....oh blue groove baby!!!!
I'll be looking for answers...anyone have pics of it..not a google map, but actual pics?

It is a fireroad but can be loose, With the rain it should be packed down fairly well. The picture in no way does the climb justice. I have only ridden it once and died about 75' from the top. Of course my excuse is it was hot and I had just done about 3hrs of trail work with Adam.

So, you'll be riding the Pole event--no excuses, right?

PS Pole Dancing is optional, just watch the splinters and bring a few extra dollar bills
