I should be there...first ride in a LONG time! Could someone bring a reeeeealllly stiff tire lever? I've got fairly new tires and skinny rims and I have a flat in the rear. My tire levers were not up to the task of getting the tire back on the rim - they folded in half!

Uh...I've only raced vet pro DH once, and it was a mid-pack finish. But, I was only riding a hardtail. The real pros would run away from me like I was standing still.

Anyhow, assuming the women who'll be with me will be up for doing that much of the loop, I'd gladly lead you guys and gals through the extra credit stuff past the dam.

Elvia, although it may feel odd having the shorter stem on your bike, I think once you get used to it, you'll like it. It may be a little more difficult to climb with, but it should improve your confidence on the downhills. Make sure you add air to your shock!

When I get to the parking lot, I may have to fit the gals onto bikes - one of them will be severely challenged by having to ride my 4X bike, which doesn't have a wide range of gearing (no, it's not the new one, but my trusty ol' Azonic).

2 wheel lee, I have my mongoose she could use, but it has candy,s on it. I can ride my dh rig, We could put my platforms on the goose, or she can just ride the dh. It has gears at least with a granny ring.

Clear and sunny 7 miles from the loop in Anaheim/GG. Regardless, apparently I'm "special" and cannot for the LIFE of me get my IRC tire back on my Sun rim. God I feel like a dolt.

Who makes gnarly tire levers? Not those little snap-together 3-piecers?

The path sells levers with steel cores. Good stuff. Buy a handful of them so you'll never be without'em.

You did really well, I on the other hand didn't do so good, I had to cut at the train tracks. I guess not riding for two weeks will do that to you.

Great ride Pugz! Thanks.

Lot of new faces today, and a lot of new single speed bikes. WHEN WILL THIS SINGLE SPEED FAD BE OVER?! We had a larger than normal group and although the over all speed was a little slower than normal, it was a little more fun than normal. Those of you who didn't go to Hero's afterwords missed out.

It's a sports bar and restaurant. Huge selection of beer, massive omelets.

Based on the underwhelming response I'm guessing there will be no ride on the 9h.
