I had a great time today at the loop. That extra credit at the end was fun and funny at the same time.

I thought 2_wheel_lee was exaggerating about having to duck under a few trees and such, boy was I wrong. At the bottom of the "extra credit" I went over the bars.

Was excess speed involved?
Bad luck? A rut? Tree branch?

When I heard that we had to duck under a tree I said ok no problem. I didnt know that my forehead will be touching the bars. Then there was the big traffic jam before the cactus. Good stuff.

It was a low-speed panic stop right before the roll-down drop. The bike stopped quicker than Lambda_drive did. I don't think any blood was donated.

yep, Thats how it went. I was riding down, I grabbed the brakes slightly, but I guess I was leaning too far forward and I went over the bars. I got a few scrapes, but it wasn't too bad.

Not that we need to mention it again...but...having a shorter and lower stem may have helped.

although, probably not in this case...

Does anyone still wonder why I don't follow 2wheel_lee?

Katonk - Keep following me I know all the shortcuts and no tree branches slapping you.

Julia told me all about the last short cut she's still laughing (whiplash) she tells me.

I'm going to lower the stem and adjust the handlebars so they're back a bit more. Hope that helps.

All I know is when Lee said "We are taking this extra credit trail" everyone's eyes lit up like it was going to be filled with sunshine and rainbows.....it was filled with chaos and danger.

I only did the lower portion of the extra credit, so I missed the cactus fun. But I did almost get taken out by the trees at the start of the second section....and I was walking my bike past them.

I'll be there. If my son comes with me we'll probably break away from the group early on and meet back up again at Laguna Lake.

On Thursday I found out that my rear wheel wobbles a bit because a few spokes are loose and also, my front fork froze up. I haven't been able to take it up to adrenaline yet, would it be ok if I rode it on the loop or should I see if I could borrow a bike?

Take it easy on the bike killer. No for real though, when I got my bike back it had a broken spoke. You are just hard on bike man. I can probably let you use the big bike. Im out for awhile.

Barring disaster or act of God, my son and I will be there. He's looking forward to riding with the people he met at Fontucky. For some weird reason he even likes Dino.

Hey guys I won't be able to make it. My mom surprised my wife and I by flying into town for the baby shower so I am going to spend tomorrow with her.
