It appears that the RSVP hates me. Am I special, or does it hate everyone?

When I went to the calendar it wouldn't let me RSVP said it was closed but when I click the upcoming ride thing it would let me RSVP.

Where does one find the "upcoming ride thing"? Speak slowly... I missed it the first time around...

I'll make it simple: http://www.socaltrailriders.org/foru...y=2008-7-6&c=2

The whole thing has been acting hokey IMHO.

Planned on going but I am heading out to my car, and ohh crap no back brakes. So instead of riding I spent the morning bleeding my brakes.

stupid derailleur...grrrr
After it broke I went to Jax, they didn't open till 10am. So I went home. Then the first thing I did to solve my problem was take a nap. LOL Now its off to The Path, maybe I'll get some badly need upgrades while I'm there too.

I suffered a major OTB...probably gonna be off the bike for at least a week or more.

Front tire washed out on a jump...landed HARD on my right side, shoulder first then rolled. Feels like rotator cuff damage on the right side (cannot lift arm...too painful), and my right ankle is very swollen and discolored...can't walk on it.

Hard to describe...it was after the park...and just after the rutted downhill section, before you come to the little "wall drop off" and ride along Bastanchury toward the climb.

When you reach the bottom of that rutted downhill, there's a little off-camber wall jump on the left. I hit it a little squirly but figured I'd be able to roll it out. Trouble is, there's a nice depression where I tried to roll out - and I'm running low PSI on the rigid bike to get as much "suspension" as possible.

The tire just squished out from under me and the bike STOPPED. Flew OTB with the bike tumbling along with me.

I could feel the ankle and shoulder as soon as I got up.

Ha, what a shitty way to start my day. Worst thing is The Path wanted $18 for a new derailleur!!! I don't know if that's an average price but I feel like I got ripped off. That's too much for something so tiny.

...I should really clean my bike too. lol

I am guessing they wanted 18 for a hanger. In that case it sounds about right. I think I paid 25 for mine.

Here is the link to the Sunday Ride. I made it a recurring event, not sure if I did it correct.

Does that mean you'll actually show up to your own ride?

I had a broken wrist Duke, I couldn't ride. Although I have been thinking about just riding the road bike.
