For me its the time. I'm not necessarily an early riser. Make the start time a bit later (9ish) and I'm there for sure. However, don't change the start time solely on my account. If I don't make it, I'll be up there on my own and keep an eye out for the group.

Are you guys doing the Fontucky thing I've been hearing about or is this something should I be notifying the authorities about?

BTW, I've already warned Julia if you were to ever use the line "It'll be our little secret." on her.

RSVP'd Maybe: 7
  • Nagaredama [01-29-2008 04:21 PM] - Might be my STR debut. Dead Cow/Westridge Drop/First Crack is pretty torn up from the rain. We should also schedule a ride of the J-Drop loop.
I might be doing a couple shuttle runs a bit farther north. If they fall through I'll be there.

thebush [01-30-2008 10:34 AM] - Hmm long drive from the IE.

We live in Riverside and it takes about 50 minutes to get there!!! It takes us that long to go anywhere to ride.

Did you check out the Ride Report from the last ride???

To everyone who's on the fence about this ride, I suggest you give it a try! Nintense is a great ride leader/guide, and to top it off he'll fix your bike instantly if you have mechanical issues

If I wasn't doing this 1/2 marathon crap then I would be there for sure!

OC/IE peeps: leave the friendly confines and venture up to land o' thugs and gangstas!

I shouldn't complain as I drove further to ride Simpson last weekend. 50 minutes isn't bad at all as I would've thought it would take longer. That RR is making me want to go even more.

We are meeting at 8a.m. so we can get the ride over with and then go have a big breakfast and piping hot coffee brewed at 195F or else pizza at Maria's! Kapish?

How far down Bayless are we meeting? Closer to Queensferry or Westridge?

There are NO restrooms available here. It is an all residential neighborhood. Make sure you keep your voices down and do your business before you get here. Watch out for no parking signs.
There are bathrooms at the Nike site that we can roll to from the top of Sully if everyone agrees and has to go. It's maybe a mile or so.

I see a Queensferry on the map but not a Westgate. Did you mean Westridge?

Better take your shoe covers if you are going to Sulli Canyon.
There is quite a big river going down it right now. Water is damn cold and there is no avoiding it.
Have fun all and maybe next time I can make it.

between Eric and Queensferry will be good - pay attention for NO PARKING signs !
Since we'll be so many (wow) please be very quiet!

Last minute changes: Part of the canyon is really flooded, so I'm thinking to skip the dead cow and climb up westridge and keep the swimming to the end of the ride.

Default Westside Invasion

Does anyone want to start on the Valley side off Reseda and we can ride out and meet the group coming up westridge? Perhaps a 7am start time. I want to do this ride, but don't want to drive around to the backside of the Mtn.
