I'm planning on riding Chiquita Ridge 1/26

Meeting at the shopping center parking lot on the corner of Santa Margarita Parkway and Plano Trabuco Rd.

Ready to ride at 8:30 am for 2-3 hours

Bringing the SS.

Rain not allowed!

Bummer. I have my niece's birthday party to attend. I plan on doing a ride later in the afternoon if it doesn't rain. Have a good ride Gregg.

You may be right... I'm thinking maybe taking off at Dove Canyon and riding the ridge line... (fire road) out and back.... not dropping into Tijeras creek... staying on the ridge line. If it's too muddy, I can always stop! ... but I have a feeling it won't be.

You may be right but I kinda doubt it, especially with an am start....I've thought the same thing before only to be confronted with donut tires full of clay muck making me feel like a slug riding a 100 pound bike...and this was days after rains. We haven't even had a full day of sun to dry out the trails a tiny bit.

Just don't mess up the singletracks is all I ask.

If it were me I'd just drop into Arroyo Trabuco Creek (the watercourse itself, and ride that)

I used to live accross the street from this trail and have a feeling the ridge line will be okay as well. I will see you in the morning on the freshly converted SS.
