Default RR: San Juan shuttle run

Today Rob (rob),T.J (sassquatch9billion)and myself went for a little D.H fun. We did San Jaun,Viejo tie, down Chaqita. I did not get a lot of action shots,to busy riding. These are a few Scenery shots. No crashes today but I came really close a few times.T.J snapped his derailer hanger and wouldn't ya know, no chain tool on any of us. So we had to zip tie the thing up and he had to walk all but the downhills. He got a good HAB today.Enjoy, some of the pics are dark due to poor lighting.

Yea I had a good time. I love that techy rock stuff.I need more practice but enjoy it.Thanks for waiting for me. I looked at my trip odometer when I got home. It is 107 miles round trip from my house, should have gave myself a little more time. Traffic in Santa Ana area was a biatch.

Did you guys get rained on at all? I was up hiking around in the snow near Big Bear today, it snowed a little on and off-and then as we drove home after sunset down the 38 it was a blizzard.

No rain, but it was looming. It twas a bit cold though! I wore pants in the idea of taking them off ( yes shorts underneath) but opted to keep my skinny legs warm.

Wow, that zoom on you're camera is great. That pic of us at the waterfall was at least 120 yards away.

BTW the Maxxis minion up front with a Kenda Kolosal in the rear is Prime time. I was running about 20psi. For the climbs not so good.

Oh and to fast of a rebound is not good.

I ran out to the bike shop this morning and bought two derailler hangers and a chain tool, next time I'll be ready. Now I have to get the old hanger piece off my derailler, it's giving me a hard time.
