BTW, CHSP does not dry out very quickly, so if the rain keeps up as it is forecast, you may have to pick a different day to ride there. Forecast for CHSP says rain through MONDAY! ![]()

I'm with Chewyeti. If there is PBR, we will avoid you at all costs.
![]() There are plenty of places on the east side of CHSP for us to hide.

Hello,
CHSP is closed now due to rain. I spoke to the Park Ranger and the park will most likely be closed over the weekend. You can call (951) 780-6222 ext 19 for updates. I was planning to do the East side of the park this weekend, but it's not looking good. CHSP is usually closed for several days after a significant amount of rain. We are suppose to get more rain this week. CHSP looks great after the recent rains we have had. More rain, more green. Teri |

I'd rather be climbing...

If the rain keeps up all week like they are forecasting, it's really doubtful that CHSP will be open. Rangers tend to err on the side of caution; it's usually closed for at least 2-3 days even after the skies clear.
But, after doing North Ridge to 4 corners, up Bovinian & down South Ridge with Waldo on Monday, I'm looking forward to seeing how much farther I can go on my SS 29er @ CHSP. The last 1/3 up North Ridge on the ss was hellishly fun. Conditions permitting, I'm in.

I know! Can't we just steal more of Nor Cal's water? This whole rain & wait system we have is terribly inefficient.
