Default Holiday Weekend Rides

Anyone planning any long rides for the holiday weekend.

I'm off Friday through Monday and will be taking at least 3 long rides somewhere in OC.

Let's list our ride plans here so people can get together for rides.

I will be in Mira Mar this weekend.
I'll be checking out Los Penasquitos on Friday afternoon and possibly hitting Big Laguna on Sunday.

I'm thinking of riding STT, Old Camp and the Luge on Friday morning; and on the way down the Luge I will be stopping to brush back the vegetation that's blocking the trail.

Should be a nice morning for the ride, and the brushing on the Luge should not take much more than 30 minutes.

Anyone want to join me?

Adam, what time are you going to ride on Friday? I'm going to Big Bear over the weekend -- leaving on Saturday!

Thinking of starting around 8:30 from Cooks Corner.

I have a few compact trail tools that I clip to my camelback, and will stash them at the top of the Luge. That way when we get back from Old Camp, we can retrieve the tools and head down the Luge.

The trail is in great shape, but some of the vegetation is covering the trail.

Should be a quick and clean brushing on the Luge, then back to the cars.

I'll be getting to Cooks around 8:15 or so.

Not sure yet, but at least on one day I want to do the Aliso, Laguna Coast, El Morro ride (at a very easy pace).

Well, it's not a long ride per se, but it's a fun ride. You all know we're shuttling Mt. Wilson on Saturday. It's 10 miles+ Fun fun fun!

I'll be doing a short ride on Sunday at 6:30am (dawn patrol). A few friends and I are meeting at Cooks and going up STT and down the Luge before we go to our respective churches, work, back to sleep. I wish it was longer, but I can't hack a long ride right now. I've been dealing with lower back pain for over two months now. It sucks big time. Anyways, anyone's welcome to join us. Just look for a beat up green (mine) or blue (friend's) mercedes station wagon.
