Tijeras Creek Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - Ladera Ridge singletrack

It's time for another "Tijeras Creek Tuesday" ride tomorrow 1/15. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Canada Vista Park in RSM.

This will be a mellow ride, as I am recuperating from my recent attack of shingles. I rode this route yesterday with some Trail Angels and I did pretty well; it was so beautiful that I want to do it again.

Attention hardcore riders - KeepsWhatHappens will not be on this ride. He has some other sufferfest planned.

I am posting this ride with the Trail Angels, but I would love to see some STR folks join us, too.

The hills are so beautiful right now, the weather is perfect, the trails are awesome, so join us.

This week's route: From Canada Vista Park, we will head down Tijeras Creek trail to Oso Parkway, ride briefly up Oso to the start of the Ladera Ridge singletrack, descend the Fire Station trail to Antonio, cross the street to Waterworks, up through the Jungle and Arroyo Trabuco back to the Tijeras Creek Golf Couse and cross Antonio back to the park.

"Tijeras Creek Tuesday" - Every Tuesday morning we will be exploring different routes, starting points and hidden gems in the Tijeras Creek/Arroyo Trabuco/O'Neill area."

im jealous that i cant skip work to ride this because i really want to ride this trail just based on the pics John posted. maybe you'll have a weekend ride planned.

You can always come to the TA's Sunday morning ride - I'll see if the ride host will do this route again next week, if you think you can come on a Sunday morning.

I don't usually ride on Saturdays because of the kids. But there's a current break in kid activities, so I might be able to do a Saturday IF KWH takes over childcare for me for the morning (or lets me hire a sitter).

LOL i totally understand the kid scenario...we have 3.5 (the .5 is baking right now) so for me to play hooky and go ride wouldnt go over well w/ the wife but a sunday morning ride sounds totally doable.

KWH and I have a good arrangement - I get to ride Sunday mornings, he gets to ride Sunday afternoons (and pretty much whenever else he likes).

Other than Sundays, I get to ride when the kids are at school...

We had a nice ride on Ladera Ridge today - sorry no pics. Beautiful weather, and the hills are as green as Ireland.

The group consisted of 8 Trail Angels and Eric Foltz!

We had some kinda newbie girls who showed up for the ride, and Eric did an excellent job as the official Trail Male.

Most likely just my wife Hannah. The Tijeras creek trail is not trailer friendly with the rock garden stinky stream crossings.
