Default Come get our bikes muddy! Trek Demo Day 1/12

Hello everyone. Just wanted to invite all to stop by our Fullerton Jax Bicycle Center location on Saturday the 12th from 9am to 3pm. We have the Trek Demo trailer that day, and will be riding the Loop. We will have new Fuel Ex's as well as Fisher 29ers, and Fisher HIFI's. We will also have some new Madone's for the Roadies. Perfect oppertunity to experience the new offerings, or just get someone elses bike muddy instead of yours! Just fill out a short waiver from Trek, and the bike is yours for the next couple hours. Hope to see some of you there!

Sadly, I will not be there on Saturday, gotta man the helm back at the shop. You should ride one of the new Carbon HIFI Pro's. I heard they rule.

Rumor has it that they are a 22 lb 5 inch travel bike. Is this true?

Is this the parking lot for the Courthouse? I need directions from the 57.

So would we pick up bikes at the shop or meet somewhere along the loop?

Just received an email from Matt of Trek who is running the demo. Here are some of the bikes that are going to be there:
Trek EX 9.5’s
Gary Fisher HiFi Carbon Pros
Trek Top Fuel 69er’s
Gary Fisher Paragons
One Large Gary Fisher HiFi 29er

I've got dibs on the Large HiFi 29er!

Here's the address for the Fullerton Courthouse (don't meet at the shop). The address on the Trek Demo website is for the shop:
1275 N. Berkeley Avenue
Fullerton, CA 92832

Here's a post about it with FAQ's answered.

I'll give it back. And they've got a few Paragons to ride in the meantime!

Default How was it??????

Just wanted to say thank you to all who made it to this event! We had over 65 Guys and Gals demo a bike today, wich is more than we have had in the past with this event. Any and all feedback you folks have would be appreciated regarding the bikes, or how we can better set up the event next time. We were originally going to have this event at Aliso, but the permit process is mind boggling, and the red tape was a bit too thick for us to get through. I hope there were enough bikes for everyone. So, from all of us, THANK YOU!!!!!

I had a great time demoing the Paragon 29ers today. I tried the medium and the large. The large fit well.

The free shirts and water bottles were cool. It was nice to take a bike out on a trail I am familiar with. Thanks for setting this up.

I noticed that smaller people had trouble finding bikes that fit them since most of the MTBs seemed to mediums or larges. I guess with space limitations in the trailer, it's hard to have a bike for everyone.

The event seemed a bit disorganized, when I was there in the morning, but things worked. Some of employees working the trailer could have been a bit more friendly and helpful because I noticed a lot of people waiting to get help while the employees talked to each other. One guy seemed to be doing most of the work helping people. The Trek mechanic acted like he really didn't want to be there.

Overall it was a good event and I am glad you guys did this. A lot of people were eager to try the EX 9.5 and EX 9. It's pretty sweet that you guys had these high dollar bikes available for testing. I got what I wanted by putting dirt miles on the HT 29er for free.

Sorry about the guy who crashed the CX bike. Is he OK? I'm guessing more than his hand is sore tonight. I guess that's what happens a roadie from Long Beach tries to show up an STR newbie ride at the Fully loop

Where the hell were you Fred? I didn't see you, but that happened when we were waiting at the tunnel.

The dude jumped the hole at the bottom of the golf course (on a CX bike) and was going too fast. He clipped his pedal on the curb, nailed Zack's bike, and went OTB on the concrete. He was out of control and is damn lucky it wasn't worse for him or some of us bystanders.
