Default THE PATH BIKE SHOP "BIKES AND BEERS" RIDE

THE PATH BIKE SHOP "BIKES AND BEERS" RIDE
What: An annual tradition of riding and socializing.
When: Sunday, May, 15 at 8:30 a.m.
Where: The Path Bike Shop parking lot.
Wisdom: Meet at 8:30 a.m. for coffee and rally in the parking lot 'till around 9 a.m.. Ride ends at The Tustin Brewery where we will hang out on the patio and they will give us a deal on beer and pizza.

Disclaimer: Mountain biking can be dangerous. The Path, it's ownership, staff and affiliates are not responsible for you on this ride. This is a casual event. There will be no official ride leaders, or course marshals. The course is not marked, nor is it specific. There are many variations, and some people will do extra loops. If you do not know the area, ride with someone who does. If you need to be introduced to someone who knows the area, and/or who will be riding at your level, just let us know.

The general course: Exit The Path parking lot and make a right on B Street. Make a right on Irvine Blvd. Left on Tustin Ranch Road. Left on Pioneer. Follow the horse trails to the Peters Canyon South entrance. Through Peters Canyon. Up Jamboree to Santiago Oaks. Up the three spiteful hills. Down towards Irvine Park. Back to The Tustin Brewery.

Note: It is recommended that you ride to this event. If you are driving, it is a good idea to leave your car with a change of cloths in the parking lot of The Tustin Brewery before the ride.

I won't miss it.
Cheers

It's just a few blocks away.

The Brewery is on Newport blvd. out of the parking, turn right, turn right on Irvine Blvd, left on B street, it on the corner of First street, you'll see a lot of bikes on the left.

See you there \/

yeap -- that was me -- were you with Oliver? I'm pretty sure I saw you also . . . Man, that single track was gnarly, especially the part that takes you right before where we ended the ride.

I was going down, and I heard this big CLUNK CLUNK and I stopped and turned around, and one of the riders went over his handle bars and his bike was laying on top of him.

On the first picture, I am the 3rd from the left, with the green helmet. My asthma was acting up, so I turned around mid-way up the B*#@h, but it was fun.

Looks like good times. Sorry that Rob and I didn't make it. We ended up riding Aliso at like 11 am, very late start. I was feeling a bit worn down as I am dealing with a killer sore throat right now, and the heat made our ride short today, only went up Cholla once this ride and skipped out on Lynx and just did RockIt.

Big Guy, I remember you were using your inhaler after the fireroad. Definitely good times. Lets ride again.

Here are a few more shots from the day.
B&B Oaks

My human alarm did not wake me at the correct time, so I parked at Vons and joined in mid-ride.

My cousins and I were the 3 girls in the first pic. In fact I think I was around for most of those pics at least in the area. It was an awesome ride. A little hotter than I'd like but not killer.

Oh -- I think I remember seeing you and your friends also. *I think I rode with your group for a little while on the fireroad right after the big group broke up.
