Sounds like a plan. Yeah I'm a volunteer IMBA mtb patrol in LCWP, but not aliso woods. I know pretty much all the trails around Laguna though. Foo, you should call in sick to work that day and ride with us!

What time are you meeting? I may tag along if it's early.

Where are you guys planning on starting from?
I like starting off PCH at the Ranger Station in El Moro. I prefer to start my rides lower and end with a downhill. This is my fav loop. Up I think I can, East on the fireroad into Laguna, Right into Laguna all the way T&A. Down T&A and back up Willow. From Willow head South on the Fireroad to Old Emerald. Down OE and back up the steep climb. Head back in El Moro and take Fenceline to Rattlesnake. Then take the fireroads all the way back down to the Ranger Station. Not real good with the names of fireroads... Hits the best of these both parks, probably 15-20miles. |

you might want to have a back up plan. I doubt the parks will be open Wed. Especially El Moro

On Sat. the park already had plans to be closed through Tues., so with the extra rain another day of closure wouldn't be surprising. And Foo's right- a number of riders jumped the gun in both parks after the rain last month and rutted up some trails (bloated bags of protoplasm).

Lady on the phone said to call @ 0700 Wed, to confirm, as they are "expected" to open up for riding tomorrow.
I'm ready; we'll see if they are. Watch the stubborn mud holes.

that's what she told me too, she said they're hoping to open tomorrow. The person at crystal cove said they probably wouldn't be, but to check in the morning. i only got the recording at Aliso stating the park's closed today, but no info about tomorrow. i guess we won't know until tomorrow morning. If LCWP is open but the other parks aren't, we should meet at the Willow parking lot, or if we want to go for a longer ride we could start at the Nix center and start with Stagecoach Springs trail. remember parking is $3

there have been times when LCWP opens first. If Aliso opens tomorrow, even better! i guess we'll find out in the morning, then talk here & decide if and where to go. perhaps a meet time of 7:45-8? i need to be home before noon. I'm gonna go zzzzzz now, hope riding is on for tomorrow.
