I'm thinking about riding back down the Merrills or the Gab afterwards....presuming I get a carpool ride up. Takers?

Yep getting a little ride time will be a good thing.

And big THX to those that are helping, it is a cool trail that needs some help.

Awesome day up there... We got a lot done, including a couple of optional technical "features". We removed most of the yuccas, trimmed back the ones that we couldn't remove, cleared out the landslide, benched in some of the other sections of alluvium, and had a great day out there.

Then I got to ride down the merrils/sunset/el prieto on the return trip with Prodigy, who was proudly representing the shuttle crew, and learning some tricks of the trailbuilding trade. Sweet day. And for the record, I didn't entice him to trailwork with the promise of a run down the mountain... that offer came after he'd committed to trailwork!

My Canon S80 died this morning after the first pic... of old age. It was almost 2 years old. That's a record for me with a camera! Since I don't have pics, I'll let others post the full report. Thanks everyone for coming out and making this great trail even better.
