I'm going to hit up Santa Rosa Plateau tomorrow at 3:30PM. This is one of the easier rides in the area, but I get a decent workout on the SS. Around 10 miles and less than 1,000' of climbing = easy breezy good times.

Directions: I-15 exit Clinton Keith and head west. Go up the hill past the fire station on the left. You will see signs for SRP Visitor's Center on the left. I park at the smaller dirt lot directly across the road from the Visitor's Center, on the right.

I'd like to head out ASAP to beat the dark. Please be ready to ride at 3:30. Thanks.

I was thinking about riding there tomorrow afternoon, so why not meet some new peeps?

Not to sound too dorky ... is this a meet at 3 or ride at 3?

Meet at 3. I actually probably won't pull into the lot until closer to 3:15, but I want to head out ASAP so we can beat the dark.

I'll be SS'ing--full rigid SS'ing. It'll only be my third ride with the new rigid fork, so the pace will be relatively mellow and I'll definately be looking for the line with the least resistance.

Hope you can make it. I'll be in a red Ford Freestyle.

google maps eta's about 58 mins from me. Any idea what I can expect for traffic goin from 76e to 15n at that time to the exit?

Hard to say with the holiday week. It isn't usually too bad. A little stop and go in Temecula, but that doesn't usually get too bad until after 3PM.

Let's put it this way--I'm leaving Vista at 2:45. I probably won't get there until 3:30 actually. I'll change the ride time.

I drive from Camp Pendleton that way everyday ... I'd say give yourself about an hour and twenty minutes to get up to Santa Rosa at that time. This way if you're there too early you can practice track stands in the parking lot.

Nah, it's not that bad. I can get from Lake Hodges to that area in 45 minutes.

I added in the time from the base to get to the I15. A straight shot up the I15 is probably, like you said, 45 mins.

i have a perfectly good night rider setup that I bought years ago and used twice, but i need a new clamp for the new oversize bars.

I'm gonna do my best to be there. I'm off at two and work in Winchester (only 20 minutes from Santa Rosa) but sometimes at the last minute some crazy person at the park will decide to need assistance and I get to work OT. So don't wait for me. I don't have a single light for the bike but we should be alright with the light. The mountain lions don't eat much!
