Default San Diego * NEWBIE * Ride Soon ???

STR Riderz,

The next location should be the Return/Opening of Lake Hodges. A friend of mine rode it yesterday and explained about some of the new signs posted. Just stay on the trails kinda thing.

The connecting bridge from North to South is almost completed. So, let's put something together to ride LH and RB? It's a fun loop about 18miles. I usually combine these together all the time. Oh yea! Mule Hill for extra credit.

What do you think SD Chapter Leaders? I only met 6 out of 100's so far.

We did a North side/South side/Highland Valley Trail loop once. That was killer. 25+ miles all on my SS. I was tired!!

As soon as Hodges is 100% open, I/we will get it going.

Hodges would be a great large group noobie ride, and have the secondary utility of masking how out of shape I am on the bike I have a newbie that needs a ride out there with a huge group.

El DooDer1no,

I would guesstimate the ride would take place before the end of next month. I'll scope it out mid Jan and see what's up. Lake Hodges is a really cool place for a casual ride. Most definitely a Newbie ride and Tasty Beers afterwards. It will be a good ride for all who want to participate.

More the Better ) I'll keep everyone posted.

I highly doubt Hodges will be 100% open in a month. I'm guessing closer to Spring.

I'm thinking it will depend on when Hodges is 100% open.

Oh........ I proposed that weekend since the following I will be going OOT until Feb 18. I have never ridden either LH or RB. A real central SD rider!

i don't know about all this...

i think maybe all rides need to stay within the borders of Orange County.

yeah, it would just be easier that way.

No worries. You won't miss anything. I doubt it'll be open by Feb 18th either.
