Anyone riding Blackstar this Tuesday?

Sporting some new grips that cost 7.35% of what my frame costs

Anyone been there since the rain?

Trying to determine how wet it will be.

Drove by there on Santiago Canyon Rd and there is snow in the canyons. Dress warm. Can't go cause I have to work. Say Hi to Vicki and Deb for me.

Nice to meet you as well! No worries on the waiting. It just means a little extra riding for me. Plus you were riding good in my book

So how was the trail last night? Maybe in comparison to last week's conditions if you made that ride.

In my opinion it was great! Slightly tacky in some areas so your rear tire felt flat. On the way down your bunny hopping(sideways) skilz had to come into play because of the ruts. Oh and it was windy and a little COLD... Like I said a perfect night out!

cool! last week it was nice too (and warm) though there were a few puddles at the bottom, but 98% dry in Hidden Valley. I noticed the ruts had grown, but that merely gives you something fun to jump on the way down.

I'm probably riding there tomorrow so I was curious if the mud was getting worse.

Definitely more puddles than last week, as well as larger more predominant ruts you had to watch out for on the way down. I thought the trail held up really well considering the rain. That large mud hole with a couple of cars stopped at last week was pretty dry last night.

I thought it was a little dryer than last week. Defiantly colder, and just about as windy.

I thought I noticed an area that was covered in rocks from a slide near the top, created a tiny rock garden to avoid, but I may have just not noticed it last week.

Raw and I headed up about 6:30ish so probably only saw you stream past on the way down.

I had my Blood's handkerchief on which put me in downhill mayhem mode. I was pobably looking like a pogo stick with all the bunny hoping needed and said hi to only a few. Give me a break, its rigid and there were ruts all over the place.
