Default San Diego: Daley Ranch Trail Work 8AM-12PM

Daley Ranch End of The Year Trail Work
Saturday, December 8th, 8am - 12pm

Meet at the parking lot at the north end of La Honda Drive • Escondido, CA 92027

Join SDMBA and the Daley Ranch Trailwork Crew for our annual end-of-the-year event. The Rangers have given us another challenging and exciting project! We will be working on a 'closed' trail. The final product will be an 'open' trail!

Since 1996 when Daley Ranch was purchased by the City of Escondido and established as a habitat preserve, there has been some disagreement between the City of Escondido and certain trail users about which trails at Daley Ranch were viable and legal. Only the trails listed on the Map are considered part of the trail system. This is a momentus occasion to have the opportunity to open a 'closed' trail on the property.

Following the trailwork, SDMBA will raffle off prizes to all volunteers, white elephant style. If you've participated before, you know this can be interesting. Sorry, the red GoGirl Hotpants found a permanent owner at last year's event.

Please RSVP to Minette so we can be sure to have enough tools. Also- I will need your contact info in case we need to reschedule due to rain. You can also call me to confirm. 858-442-7090. Please feel free to contact me if you are intersted in other ways to volunteer at Daley Ranch.

For more info on Trailwork see the SDMBA website.
You can find general info about Daley Ranch on the City of Escondido website.

UPDATE:
Thanks for the response! I don't NEED any info, but I do like to keep names and emails for future events and updates.
I really just need a head count prior to the day. The rangers need to know how many tools to round up.
Looks like we'll have a good turn out. Now I just hope the weather holds up.

If it is sprinkling we will work through it, so bring rain gear.
IF it is pouring, we'll postpone. If it's questionable, you can call my cell in the morning.
Forecast says 40% PM showers, I'm betting we'll go with it.

I emailed the organizer to see what info they will need from us. Details to follow.

I called Minette to let her know I would be there. I asked her if we needed to bring anything and she said "no, just show up ready to work and be prepared to work in the rain." She did say that we will work if it's sprinkling. However if it is coming down pretty heavy, the trail work will be canceled and re-scheduled.

A little rain would help a lot with the trail work. I hope we do get some rain Friday and maybe some sprinkles Saturday.

I think they rather have free labor then the $20 membership if they have to choose. No I doubt you need to be a member or even a mountain biker.

You can always join.

I am -- if it isn't pouring, I'll be riding.

Is one of the rewards of helping build a new trail riding the new trail?

Ok, weather report shows it raining from Friday until Monday how do we find out Saturday morning of the Trail Work is canceled. I didn't be an email back from the one I sent. Did either of you that called get details about cancellation? I know she said we might work in the rain but it seems like it will be as bad as last week.

She said if it was sprinkling/drizzling we would still work. She asked for my phone number, but never said she'd call if it was canceled, which I understand since that would be to time consuming. I'm just going to wait and see how it looks Saturday morning. If it's coming down pretty good, I'm not going to go.

They're expecting snow this weekend too. Probably not at Daley though.

Hmm...
I only recognize that as modulus, but it would be missing something.

He's using a representation only a web programmer would use %31 is the URI encoding of 0x31 or 31h, the two normal ways of seeing hex numbers represented. In either case, it's "1". Not really sure why it is being brought up though.

PS: It isn't actually a number. It is a reference into the standard US-ASCII table. Geeking off.
