Please don't ride there 2 days after heavy rain- that soil appears to have a lot of clay, will turn into sticky mud like Chino Hills, and will rut and erode easily. let it dry out a few days.

I was thinking the same thing. I am going to check it out later today and see what it looks like (live 1 mile from the trail head)

Checked the trail at 4:30. Way to wet. However it didn't stop some people. There were also motorcycle tracks!

Default effin non-human powered conveyances

When we rode there last Sunday, we saw a couple of kids on little motorcycles- when i climbed up top to cell phone range I called the ranger to narc on them, but just got a recording. Ten minutes later they rode by again, and MTbBill told them, "you're not permitted here, and the ranger will be here in 10 min" and they simply went in the other direction on the ridgeline fireroad. We've got nothin' on motorcycles when it comes to trail erosion.

Daily thought: some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs!

I've seen teenagers on mini-bikes here twice. Somehow we have to stop these a-holes from f'ing up our trails.

Even worse, these idiots are bad riders so they cause even more erosion than you'd expect.

If you encounter them make sure you tell them they are not allowed and that you are reporting them.

Rode several miles at lunch today on a Recon mission. Droped in Sinkhole, Qualifier backwards, holeshot and back up holeshot. Qualifier had a couple chocolate pudding corners, but was all in good shape.
One thing that cause some delay was knocking down a lame jump that someone built on Holeshot, just as you drop into the switch backs. There's plenty of valid trail work that could be done without adding jumps on an uphill trail. It was built post-rain.
Thursday will be an epic day to do a long ride in SC.
