What kind of ride are you planning to do? 40 mile death ride or 15 mile fun ride? I'm from S.W. Riverside and if you did move it back an hour or so I might actually be able to make a ride with actual real people as opposed to the ones in my head on all of my other rides!

Default maybe

I'll have to let ya know next week- I usually ride in the morning so i can do other stuff in the pm, but I'll try to make it. J-man, I'm with you on avoiding the 91 or Ortega highway during morning rush hour, that shit sucks- I've had to do that many times. the San Clemente trails are definitely worth the drive.

You can always take 76 through Oceanside too, not too far off from Wildomar to get to.

The 76 is going a bit out of the way I think i'd just tackle the traffic. We'll have to see.

I rode the singletracks Thursday and it looks like someone did some trail maintenance out there recently. The rain should help firm up a few of the spots that were worked on.

Thread Hijacked!!
Hey Rob-
Needless to say, the laguna ride is cancelled for tomorrow, Laguna coast wilderness park will definetely be closed Sunday, and the ranger at Aliso said they'll reassess in the morning but expects to remain closed tomorrow. I'm definetely in for Wednesday SC.
BTW the Eskar tire I got at your shop is great.

Default softail's fine

I think.. what exactly is a softail? rear suspension, but rigid in front?
J-slow, these trails are fun, but generally not rocky-technical. The soil is kinda loose in places-so tires with good traction is recommended-the rain probably helped that though. Some steep stuff, a few little jumps, but mostly lots of smooth down-and-ups, berms, "unberms" (off-camber)and swithbacks. Lots of sharp turns, oh, and some wooden bridges. Fun on almost any bike. these trails were built by a bunch of guys (Team Whatthe****) riding mostly singlespeeds and rigids. Come ride with us at 9!
Edit: So, J-slow, what kind of bike do you have?

I just got back from here. It's still soft in quite a few areas. Especially on the trails that are less ridden. Most of the regular trails are only muddy in spots.

A soft tail would be perfect for the SCST...
