Default big group ride?

Dunno about you guys but I wanna meet as many people off of here as I can . I was thinking a group ride with a lot of people would be fun to do.

Maybe in a couple weeks, that way I can also distribute socaltrailriders.org stickers (hopefully have them by then).

Setting up a time that works for the most people might be hard. What day of the week works best for you?

I can do mon - fri after noon. (maybe even morning if I dont have a test that day)
Sat. morning
Sunday is usually bad for me

That's a great idea George. I'm game for a Saturday Morning.
I would like to recommend my favorite trail, The Fullerton Loop.

I would second Fully Loop on Sat. Morning.

I think the Loop is perfect because it has something for everyone. It's not too difficult and it's fun. You get what you put into it.

I agree -- what time is good -- 10am?

I would say 7am. If you start at 10, the trail can get busy with runners and hikers as well as boyscouts.

No Sir! The earlier the better, less trail traffic and you get more things done in a day when you wake up earlier.

How about Maple Springs?

The fireroad up is good so we can ride side by side, excellent scenery, memories (mike/dell/alan remember this place all too well), gradual climb which can be do-able at a decent pace (works for slower riders).

Other possibilities: STT, turnbull, Fullerton as mentioned before, Aliso, . . .?

imapodaddy, what time do you usually go to sleep at night?

Default Loop

Bed time for me is around 10-11pm. It depends if I am finished with hmwk or other chores around the house.

I would also be open to Maple Springs -- it is really beautiful there, but you would have to give me and George some time to get there, as we're coming from Long Beach and North OC.

I'm down for Maple Springs or the Loop.

7 am?? That shouldn't exist on a Saturday.

Yeah i dont know about 7 am but i good for a saturday, where is maple springs never been there??? and how about aliso its good because those who want to do like 10-15 miles can do it and your can extend it out to about 25 miles if you want and you can just stop whenever you get to beat. i would say it would be the best for all the pople on here from beginners to all you racers. that and the trails there are awsome!

Anyone else have other suggestions for where to ride? Once we get some choices we'll do a poll and vote on it.

Default 7am

Well I ride early since my 3 little girls and a wife would need me available for things such as soccer games, family events and what not. So it's cool if you fellas can't ride early, but if we can make two groups:
Early Birds 7am
Late Birsd 10am
Then this might meet the needs of the group.

I can't ride this Saturday, but I am up for a ride next week.
I am North County too - Seal Beach-ish.

I am going to hit Chantry Flats sometime this month, probably on a Sunday, if anybody is interested.

I'm up for a group ride. My schedule is usually flexible. MS is good.
