I can ride saturday, but i usually ride on sundays with FXrob.
I'd vote for Maple Springs for the group ride, I've never done it, and riding fullerton would be a waste in my book being that i can only ride once a week at the moment.

Maple Springs would probably be a good idea, especially for those who have not been there yet. As of April 1st, it will be closed until September, so there's only three weekends left to ride it.

Water is running shallow, slow and clean right now, and Motorway is in perfect shape.

I'd be up for a Maple Springs ride, but only Sun, Mon, Tues are good for me. Maybe another time if you all go on a saturday.

Default Maple Springs

I am with JamR on this, Maple springs will soon be closing, and for those that want to get to the main divide, it is the easiest way to it. Certainly less strenous than going up Harding. For a future weekend ride, I suggest going for a Joplin loop. Should be nice before it really gets warm, and while the trail is still tacky from all the recent rains.

It is closed until September because of a federally protected frog that lives in the canyon. I believe it is the Arroyo Toad, and it is their mating season. As far as the trail, if we do the loop to the Silverado motorway, it is about a 17 miles. The climb up to the main divide is not too bad, but the section from the main divide fire road until the motorway has a lot of short semi-steep climbs. The silverado motorway is a fun singletrak that basically drops back into the canyon near the parking at the trail head.

It's an easy 7 mile climb with lots of options. Once at the top of the 7 mile climb to Main Divide you can continue another 5 miles to the peak (a semi-loose gravel climb), or coast a fast 6 mile downhill on Main Divide to the Motorway Singletrack which is a fun 3 mile drop down to the parking area.

Or you can just turn around for a fast roll back down the way you came up.

It is the easiest a quickest way up to Main Divide and a great ride.

They close the trail from April through September for the Arroyo Toad that lives in the many water crossing and wet areas along side the trail.

It's a great ride right now with lots of running water and small waterfalls all over the place.

Anytime after 8am.

First post I made: "Maybe in a couple weeks, that way I can also distribute socaltrailriders.org stickers (hopefully have them by then). "

Do you guys wanna do this ride this Saturday? (fine with me) Or wait a week or two so that Mike is able to ride his new Yeti here and we can also pass out stickers. Also Trung and Armando can't make it this weekend cause of races . . .
