I'm not frightened of an iddy biddy little sprint at the end, twice, in stupidly hot weather, with 15 other vet-pro's breathing down my neck, and smog and...ok, maybe I really would like to have a slightly shorter course

Still considering trying out 4x. Few questions

Having never done this what other equipment would I need? Pads?
I do have Full Face helmet.

What kind of tires would people recommend? It currently has some Maxxis Holly Rollers.

Maxxis Larsens 2.35 front 2.1 rear. Knee and elbow pads.

cool, and yes we will take pictures of you on the bike with the big INCYCLE stickers on it..... if that doesn't work your more then welcome to try my 2.1 4x

Anyone know when the XC starts?

I've already told some friends that I'll be doing my first race. No backing out now!

Also, does everybody start at the same time in XC, or do they break up the 1,2,3 lap races?

I would imagine same time as normal. Isn't it like 9:30? I totally forget, actually.

They stage everyone. Pro's, Semi Pros, Experts, Sport, Beginner and usually stage everyone at different intervals so it isn't *everyone* in Sport, etc.
