Maybe you should race the Dos or the SIR9 for XC then??

What I don't understand is this:

If they are using the same course for Cal State and Nationals (which we don't know either way), why can't they just take the times from our Nationals run and use that??

That tells me that Donny might use another course for Cal State (maybe the old course that we used for the past couple years?). If so, what is the practice schedule for being able to practice on the Cal State course considering there are so many other restrictions on practice timing.

Seems like a logistical pain in the arse to me...

#1 Will there be a separate course for Cal State?

#2 If so, what is the "practice schedule" for Cal State if it is on the same weekend as Nationals?

#3 If they are using the same course for Nationals & Cal State, why can't they just use our time from the Nationals run and apply that toward the Cal State?

Thanks, I will send the questions to John and then post the answers.

My take is that many people who will be participating in the Cal State Series will not be racing the NMBS race. There are a lot of people who refuse to give up their money to USAC. In addition, Donny's races are cheaper and you don't have to race in the same USAC category (like me racing Pro Women). Less competition, a chance for a series jersey, etc. I think he is just trying to piggypack on the NMBS race because there is already a race going on.

Remember, there are 2 jerseys at stake here, the SRC overall (for the year) and the Cal State jersey.

Here is Donny's reply:

Yes if you are doing the cal-State you will race on Sunday after the pros. As far as two entry's go I was trying to keep from people having to join NORBA to race. As for the race course they well be the same for each event.
