Is anyone interested in playing/practicing 4X before Thursday? Looking at the Thursday schedule looks like we might not be allowed on it (maybe before 4X pro/semi-pro practice which starts at 3:30) but I'll be there to watch some practice? One of the guys was out Saturday said the National DH course was cut criss crossing the mountain coming down.

I'll be racing both. expert dh 30-34 I'm not sure if the CGS is going to have the same age groups, or not. here's a link you can find who is racing in your class or register online.

do you have to have the license number to register?

NMBS #1 Fontana National presented by MAXXIS : DH Sport: You currently do not have a valid USAC-MTB annual license.

I think you can renew or purchase your license there at the event. If not, you can renew on www.usacycling.org

I think for Sport you can still just purchase the $5 one day license at the event.

Yep, you're right. I forgot about that.

FYI...still haven't heard back from Jeff Frost about short track!! Aaaaargh!! Five days to get back to me???

You can register for men's expert and women's open but neither is on the schedule.

I may show up for a peek on Saturday since I've got the day off and still can't ride. Dr. says the Mud needs to stay off the bike for another week.

^what happened Gary?

Side note: Jeff Frost, who I finally got ahold of, tells me he is 99% certain there WILL NOT be expert men's or open women's short track at the National (despite the fact that you could register on-line for it AND it was on the reg. form).

Of course, he also told me to go call someone else to verify and I felt like that was pretty much doing his work for him.

as it is i doubt i will get 6 hrs of sleep per night between now and nationals (i got about 6 last night)
Your starting to sound like me with excuses
Just kidding. DO short track with a 1X9, dont you have a 1X9 bike? chances are you wont be shifting too much

not to mention that there probably won't even be a sport men's short track...

Default On line Registration closes tonight

FYI,

On line registration closes at 11:59pm tonight. The on-line registration fee is $3.42 vs the $10 on site registration fee if you register at the event!!! That's about 2 gallons of gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This always amazes me....they charge you for the event, the shuttling, etc and then they charge you to register?!?
