see ya'll tomorrow

if you go to the calendar and click sunday, find this event, it shows no replies or anything, yet says "this event ignores Daylight Savings Time"

anywho, apparently my brother is going to drag his heavy @$$ bike out of the dust if it still works and try to do the xc course with me later in the day. Which begs the question, when would be the best time for him and I to get in a lap? after Super D? i'm trying to find an hour or so without missing awards, Super D, or DH practice

I would think that if you skipped the section that goes around the 4x course you could probably ride right after the awards. (The awards were being handed out during the 4x race I think at race 3).

Good luck to all of you I will not be racing XC and maybe not even DH. I have been on the road workin my @$$ off since the Wed after the last races and today was my first day back on the bike. After soo many days of structure and productivity I think I just want to go ride my bike tomorrow... I had way tooo much fun this afternoon just exploring an area that I can actually ride to from my house and I found the most amazing trails Maybe 6 inches wide between walls of green and topped with yellow and purple flowers that were shoulder high... All smiles and relaxation. That is where I am at right now. Sunday may be another day but we will see how it goes after riding tomorrow morning

go get em

Much respect for listening to yourself and doing what you need to keep yourself happy...racing's always here (though we'll miss seeing you )

But where the hell are the pictures of this eden-like trail??

Well I'll miss lining up with you (I'd say race but dang you're fast on that 29er) and chatting. Enjoy your trail, this is the last race of the season for me (no weekends off during summertime) so I'm gonna relax and just have some fun with it!

I was thinking of taking my two young sons to watch the DH race sunday.

I assume there are plenty of safe places for us to sit and watch the bikers go by?

I think they'd love that (I know I would!)

If anyone thinks it's not an appropriate place to bring an almost 3 year old please let me know. Thanks.

Bummer man, well hang in there!

Anyone know if Sharky is coming out? I love the pics. I'll be out on Sunday to root everyone on at the DH race AND I hope to have my family with me (my son is sick so we'll see but the girls will be with me) and my camera too to see if I can contribute some shots to the post race bonanza!

I think you'd be fine. There may be people with beers (including me, probably, after my run), but most will have water/soda.

You can basically sit off course wherever you choose, so you can pick where everyone else goes, or just find a nice easy corner to chill out.

Ya, thats exactly what I was thinking we could do.

Also, I was hoping to re-meet you and Justin. When I met you at Blackstar a few weeks ago I didn't realize who you guys were.

Good luck to all the racers, I can't even imagine doing a DH race.

With the right bike and gear it's not that bad In case we don't recognize you, feel free to stop us if you see us! I'm sure the kids will be entertained either way

So does that mean I won't be seeing Justin on the Dos Niner ? or you on the Canzo?

That would have been interesting.

Not on Sunday Justin won't be riding my Dos anymore either!! I got a dual ringer spider for it, so gonna make it a 2x9 and probably do some XC races on it this spring. It's sooo much lighter. Not the descender that the Canzo is, though.

Nope, he'll be rocking his Socom and I'll be on my Demo 7 (the head tube can hold a mini cooper, you know).

I have a new toy on the front, though!

Look's like I'm in for XC & Super D tomorrow.
See you all in the morning after work.......

EDIT:

I'm not going after all. I'm going to hit Bonnelli and do the Cal State Super D series.
