If the rain lets off Friday (and doesn't continue) the XC course will be OFF THE HOOK!! It is awesome right after the rains. The sand is so packed down. It's usually really nice.
Planning on being out there for XC and DH. Hopefully there won't be another windy DH day. Not sure my sensitive self-esteem can take another one of those.

I hope it rains all day practice day and all day race day, the mud race last year was so fun. Fontana rock is pretty grippy in the wet but the mud is super slick in most areas. As for drying the armour do you have one of those trays that go across the inside of the dryer so it doesn't tumble around but still gets heated, or you could do what I do and not wear any armour.

I've got a lot of experience drying out armor. You can use the dryer. This is what I did:
Take three large dry towels and put it in the dryer with your armor. Set the dryer to tumble dry with no heat. Check it every few minutes to ensure something didn't get caught in the drum and tear your suites. Should be dry in 40 minutes. 2nd method. Hang the suit up in the bathroom and put a fan on it. In the morning, or just before you leave for the race, use a hair dryer to get the last few spots. Don't fold the armor after this, put it on a hangar keep it off the floor/ground. Keep it in the car with the heat on until you put it right before your ride. Or, you can just think warm happy thoughts. "MMMMM...sunshine"

Perhaps this should go in the tire review thread, but... I am wondering if any of you XC racers will be putting on different tires if it is in fact muddy out there. And if so what tires, I am thinking about going to a 2.3's for extra traction. Thoughts??
Thanks,
