Um...aren't all rain jackets non-permeable? (at least by water)

Well, I was redundant there because some jackets that people might wear in the rain (i.e. windbreakers, etc) may not be completely waterproof.

The weather is looking good for tomorrow...mudfest Sunday. Just got back from a fun afternoon out there . Rode with a new DH racer Carissa you'll see in the beg. class her husband is a regular to racing. She should be joining here soon. Also rode a bit with Krash and Silverspot. (Gil-Caz sighting)
The DH course is basically turns and zig zags. Comes down the right side of the ladder a few tricky turns off camber to watch for then cuts straight across the top of the saddle and down into a course of turns and as said zig zags. Nothing real technical as far as rock sections. The lower garden runs straight through BUT it is taped off so you have to follow a specific line with many turns. It avoids the boulders and will slow you down a bit sticking to the turns. I may post a link to photobucket cause I know Mosh1DH can't practice tomorrow and a few others. Well looks to be a fun course and the same one for all classes.

Sharky, thanks so much for the info. I may not be able to practice tomorrow either so anything regarding pics would be much appreciated.

I should have a link up in about an hour not great pics but hopefully will give you an idea. Also they had a cement slab in place of the 4X ramp. The wood gate that flips up was just sitting in front so not sure what the plan is there?

I've got to get some miles in, but I'll head over after I'm done with my ride.

My only gripe about those jackets is that during a hard, sustained effort, you end up just as soaked on the inside since there is no ventilation.... I still might wear mine, though, haha

It seems like we won't need them tomorrow. Sunday will be wet.

Not a good place to bring the puppy if you'll be off practicing. Not the best place to lose a dog and I'm guessing he hasn't had all his shots either. Sorry but seriously my friend. Focus on your racing not the puppy. See ya tomorrow can't wait . Should be fun.
I'm the Incycle mom I get to preach like that !!
