Yeah, the rubberband gate really put the hurtin' on me. My timing SUCKED! But I've been practicing for two whole weeks!

I heard a rumor, and that's all it is at the moment, that they're redoing the gate. We'll see in two days!

Sport's the catagory I'll be racing in as well so I'll see you on the gate...or rubberband....or dirt hill...

yea we could do a rolling start formt he Dh track lol, we swept out some burms on monday it made a huge dfference,The track doesnt seem to stay wet very long so it might still be decent racing if its not pouring during the race

Either way-it's looking like another weekend of some fun racing!

I'd be all over a rolling start from the top of the DH course. Did you know that I also raced my 4X bike in DH last Sunday? That was fun!

Man, you guys have been practicing? Geesh...I did a short, beginner XC ride on Sunday. That's all the riding I've done. But realistically, if it is raining on Saturday, I may skip the race. I can't afford to get hurt.

The news just nowing is saying it may wait till Saturday evening to rain into Sunday.Lots of rain 2 to 4 inches. Sun poking through Friday afternoon so planning on being out there if anyone else wants to go you can check out the course.
Today at Southridge was perfect didn't rain till we were just leaving.

Does anyone know when Donny finishes marking the course?
I cant make it out on Saturday. I have Friday off, so I might try and head out to do some practice.

I'm guessing around noon or one I need to find out when Brandon can go. In the past by the afternoon it's marked but you never know. For sure we'll be there in the afternoon at the 4X track, also. Boy they're talking heavy rain for Sunday but we'll still be going so this will be interesting?
Atleast my bike will be in the 4X race my friend will be racing it.

You're an inspiration on the DH hardtail scene, bro!

Hopefully, with this kind of rain, they'll have something on the gate for traction!

What's everyone bringing/doing to stay dry? We've never raced in this much rain before.

I was told last time there is usually a windy race, a wet race, and an unseasonably hot race. So we've got 2 of the 3 covered.. did they leave anything else out? Seriously.

FWIW, we're bringing an EZ-up for over our truck so we can stay dry sometimes..

If anyone else has those little propane tanks (like for mini bbqs, etc) feel free to bring one over. We'll have our small tent heater! Until we run out of propane

We have an EZ up too. Seriously, I am wavering on this weekend. Sure, racing in the rain can be "fun" but it also ruins bike parts.

I'm not sure I want to be replacing stuff already...

BTW...we can thank climate change for this whacked out weather...yes, I'm a democrat and yes, I know it's real.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Just bring the EZ-up and suck it up!

i think yours has already worked, the "current" and i say current becuase they change every 4-6 hours, NOAA weather model shows no rain until saturday night, so only your gravity monkeys will be racing in the rain.

That being said, when the new model comes out it could be completely different

Just depends on what weather site you check...

wunderground says 70% rain on Saturday and like 60% sunday.

weather.com has like 40%.

I do my own weather forecasting based on the NOAA weather models, though i am about as accurate as the weather man on TV. I dont have the link on this computer, but i will post up the link so you can see the daily models

Good to know. BTW, not only is my dance effective, it's also incredibly sexy. In fact, it's illegal in 37 states.
