Keep in mind you might want to dress a little warm, I don't completely trust the thermometer at the Wilson Observatory site but it's reporting 50F right now. If it's foggy you can expect to start the ride above the cloud line and ride down through it. Elevation at the start will be a little under 5700 ft if I'm not mistaken. http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~obs/towercam.htm Steppie! You will be missed! I will be bringing up the rear on this ride and suggest we do a head count at the top, another at the Hotel and then a final at the parking lot. I am super psyched that so many have decided to do this ride, should make for a great RR. Thanks! Mott |

If you have done the San Juan trail this will be somewhat similar with more exposure. Quote:

I live in Anaheim Hills and I might be up for a car pool. My mom raised me to NOT take rides from strangers but everyone I have met from this forum has been really cool so far, but if you pull out a candy bar or something, I'm getting out and walking. |

Hey, just for clarification, we are meeting at the small wedge-shaped parking lot at the top of Windsor, right? When people say "JPL parking lot" I sometimes wonder if they really mean inside the actual JPL parking lot. Thanks for that info, and I can't wait for Saturday!
