El Morro Parking

Anybody ever have any issues parking in the Trader Joes lot off PCH for El Morro? I have a park pass, but my friends don't, so we were worried about being towed.

They do have a security guard that walks around over there. I'm not sure if it was just when they opened the area up, if it is just a summer thing or if it is year round.
I agree with Pat though; it just isn't worth the hassle of having your car towed or even getting a ticket. Park at the top, pay the $10 or just get a pass.

I've had the security guard (who was cruising in a golf cart) tell me if I left my car there she would have it towed. This was about 2 months ago. Since my backyard is burnt, I'll be riding El Morro more so I plan on getting a pass. My riding buds and I are thinking about pooling our money together since we are usually riding together anyway...

Thanks guys, I agree they should just get passes. We were going to park on Laguna canyon rd today and ride into El Morro from there, but didn't know where we could park. The lot over there opens up at 8:00am.
