I'll make you a deal, I'll go as fast as I can, but if I get a flat, you change it and I'll buy at in&out.

I can't make in & out again as I'm off to Arizona at the crack of dawn but how about you go as fast as you can and if you get a flat I'll drink your beer whilst you change it and I'll guard against mountain lion attacks by leaving an open tin of spam near you whilst I drunkenly ride off into the glory of the night. Am I selling this to you at all?

Tried to make it to the ride tonite - traffic was absolutely slllloooowwww and I didn't leave myself enough time...so I turned around. Anybody have ideas how to get there a better way from Huntington (Beach & Warner) rather than the toll freeways, etc??

Ok so I tried making it but bad traffic caused me to arrive 15 minutes past the 7pm departure so by the time I got there all I saw were cars and no people. There were a couple of dudes standing outside their cars but they were about to leave and when I asked them if they had seen a big group they said that you guys had left like 10 min prior.

I figured since it was just fireroad I could catch up with you guys no problem. Got on the bike headed towards the gate and when I arrived I saw the gate which said no trespassing and since I haven't been on this trail I wasn't sure whether to proceed or not. Tried calling Guero but no answer. While I was calling Bret a truck came towards the gate, turned around, parked, and a lady came out and was talking on her cell all while her kids it appeared were in the truck. I thought nothing of it.

Rode back to my car and when I was arriving to my car some guy with a helmet light and handle bar lights rode past me. I was unpacking when I noticed that I had lost my ID which was in my pocket and I had forgot to put in my Camelback because I was in a hurry. Hightailed it back to the fence in my car, searched all over but to no avail I couldn't find the damn ID. So I figure either the lady in the truck took it or the mountain biker.

I just can't get a break can I. Missed the ride and lost my ID. Hopefully next time I either:
A) Get Neil's number or someone else's
B) Try to get there earlier

Ok I'm done venting. Goodnight
