Southridge Thursday, 11/15

Late notice, I know, but anyone up to guide a first timer around the place tomorrow, around 1pm or so? Got a surprise 1/2 day off, and want to put it to good use.

I'm contemplating the Super D race on Saturday so am particularly interested in checking out that route beforehand, and would also like to ride the DH course for future reference.

I'm assuming the courses are not yet laid out/ marked? If they are, I'm sure I could stumble through on my own...but would appreciate an experienced guides' expertise if someone was available.

Oh, and does a map of the Southridge trails even exist? I've poked around, but have come up empty so far. The Southridge website was surprisingly unhelpful in this. Thanks for any insight.

The XC course is marked on geoladders, but that won't really help out much Sorry, mang. I'll be working.

Every inch of the hill that the DH is run on has been used for a race course at one time or another, so it's pretty difficult to negotiate a smooth run without prior knowledge of the course. Wish I could meet you out there Dell, a few DH runs sound awfully good.

Pretty much what I'd figured, but was worth a shot. Looks like I'm winging it tomorrow, and that can be fun, too. Come Saturday, at least the place won't be completely foreign (be a drag to find I'd been railing the parking lot the whole time, though) .

Dell - your best bet is to print out the 3D map on Geoladders and take that with you. There are small trails scattered around all over the place out there and its not that easy to find the right one. Every so often you'll see a red arrow pointing the way. Maybe try it on Friday after lunch?
