Default Sedona, Day after Thanksgiving

Met at The Bike and Bean in Oak Creek Village Friday 23rd @ 9am. We can go out Llama-Broken Arrow Trails to Chicken Point and Submarine Rock...great introduction to slickrock and Sedona.

For more miles we can jump the highway and go to Budda Beach.

Will this ride be doable for a beginner? She doesn't mind walking sections, if she has to (but she may try crashing once or twice to confirm if she needs to walk).

Sauce and Keith,
We'll be out there Saturday as well, but the pace may be slower than what you'd like.

Dean, what's the deal? One day, two, or three?

I'll talk it over with the boss.

Some is technical, and there is some exposure but for the most part I'd consider it beginner friendly as long as they have some endurance. The good thing is you never really get that far out from town so you can call it quits when it gets to be to much. I personally have been very tired, but the riding is so much fun and the scenery is so beautiful, I can't help myself and just continue to ride. We go out early and get back usually right at sunset. There are no real big climbs, but it continuously is going up and down. I suggest you get Cosmic Ray's book and decide what trails you'd like to ride. Very good book for this area.

I won't be outa here until tonight. After work, I have to go home and pack. We'll probably be on the road at 9ish. There may be a couple more people joining us for Friday's ride.

Steph, would your friend from Kim happen to be from Phoenix and also ride an orange, clapped-out M3? The one who got bent out of shape because the people who rented a condo in Whistler invited others to stay at their place (in addition to her), and then she made such a huge stink about it, causing others who were invited to have to find their own accomodations at the last minute? If so, I think I know her. Enjoy!

I think the plan is:

Templeton/Buddah Beach/Cathedral
Rock/Broken Arrow/Submarine Rock/Chicken Point/Llama Trail/Bell and back to car.

Not set in stone yet.

I can't comment on the whole Whistler thing cuz I wasn't there. It would all just be heresay, ya know?

But yes, Kim is my friend. She is one of my oldest and best Phx friends who has always been loyal, sweet, and giving, not to mention, she is always one to do things for another person before doing things for herself. She also happens to own her own business and have been working more than any of us put together (can you say STRESS?)

So yes, that is my friend.
