Default Maple Springs

If we don’t get a torrential downpour today or tonight, I plan on doing Maple Springs tomorrow morning.

Even when wet, this trail is a very hard-packed DG ride. Just plan on getting soaked from the knees down for the first three miles on the paved road.

I usually change into dry socks at the start of the DG climb.

Anyone want to join me?

Again…..if we just get showers like we did last night, and it’s not raining in the morning; I’ll be riding this trail.

I’ll park at 8:00 am and will start pedaling at 8:30 am.

It's pretty mild.

Did it last week very comfortably on my SS running 32/18. I'll be on the SS again tomorrow.

I haven't rode in a few weeks because of work -- do you think I'll be able to hang?

No Sweat......I'm in a cruise mode myself lately. Too many hours in the office during the week and only riding on the weekends.

It will just be a fun easy spin, followed by a great coasting downhill.

Default RIIIIIDDDDEEEEEEEEEEE

JAMR,

George and I will be there tommorrow at 8:30am.

Maple Springs - Silverado Canyon
From the 55 Freeway in the City of Orange, use Chapman Ave. exit. Drive east. Chapman will turn into Santiago Canyon Rd. after about 5 miles. Continue 5 more miles Silverado Canyon Rd., turn left.

I'd love to go...can someone post before they leave tomorrow morning (like 730ish). I don't want to drive out there and have it be flooded. It's startin to rain pretty good now down here. I really wanna go for a ride though.

The rain here is just off and on for 10 - 15 minutes at a time.

I'll post at 7:00 am on the weather.

Unless it's really pouring cats and dogs, I plan on riding there. Been caught in the rain 3 times in the last few weeks, and all the rides have been fun.

Hi all. First post here.

I'm thinking really hard about joining you tomorrow, rain or no. Anybody know the condition of Main Divide, between Maple Sp. and Silverado Motorway? How 'bout the Motorway itself? I like loops...
