Default Turkey Day SS San Juan (a.m.)

I bought a Bonti carbon fork for my 1x1 and want to get out and use it! What better way than by suffering horribly on what should otherwise be an enjoyable day?!

Come out and burn off extra calories before adding more!

We'll definitely be riding up to Cocktail Rock. The lollipop loop depending on how we feel and what time it is.

I've gotta be in Menifee around 1:30!

Start time to be determined closer to the ride.

Definitely won't be an all-day ride. I'd like to be riding by 8.

Oh great Alliison - now you've done it! You're gonna take the hubby away for just enough time to have me do all the cooking on Bird Day

Finally a ride he can do with you, should be fun.

haha! Just stick that puppy in the oven and start climbing! jk

I'm sure it'll be similar to the last sufferfest I led (er, um.. that I started the ride for)... I saw everyone at the beginning and then in the parking lot at the end

Rock and Road cyclery do a Turkey day ride up Harding to 4 corners (Although some come up Maple). I've done it for the past 2 years and they provide coffee, assorted other drinks, cakes, bagels, generally there's a ton of food and about 80-100 peeps. Last year some poor dogs had to tow food for this number of people up in bob trailers from Cooks Corner after the keys to the Maple gate went MIA the night before. Poor guy collapsed off his bike when he arrived about 30mins behind schedule. You could join up with that party?

No desire to drive over to OC (er, any further than 3 miles past the county sign, at any rate).

Also, I doubt they will be doing this route as Harding will more than likely still be closed.

I'm doing SJT! If I wanted to ride a fire road I would've scheduled that

Default Newb is lost...

Allison,
Where is this ride going to take place? Be nice, I'm still learning my way around these here parts. I would like to ride it if my seatpost clamp is in for the Salsa.

San Juan Trail! Depending on time we will do this:

http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=129

Or:

http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=11

It's 74 west toward San Juan Cap.

There is a link on this page that will show you how to get there. Also, this link will review the route they are going to take. As Allison said, they may or may not do the extra loop just past Cocktail rock.

You should go! Great ride! Have fun....

Allison - You beat me to it! lol

Bring the rip, bud.

I need someone to keep me company in the back. When I'm not going ONE speed, I'll be walking!
