I would like to go to Cocktail and do the loop. Any other takers?
It's time dependent for some of us, just depends on when we get up there.

I'm thinking RIDING by 8.

I've just been given "ground clearance" for take off from the "tower" ... so will be joining you... on the SS. I'll see you and Justin on Thursday morning around 7:30 am.

Sweet. Looks like quite a crew heading there. I hope it isn't too crowded out there with everything being closed. Heather and I will be there at 7:30. We are on a time constraint too. This will be her 1st time up SJT, so give her some space on the switchbacks!
Looking forward to seeing everyone.

So OMR are you dressing up like a turkey for this ride???

Have fun guys, I'll be there in spirit. I'm taking an old friend on a TourdeDaley before we head over to his families house for some deep-fried turkey.

Oh where to go with this.....

Did you sleep with them? Do you put them on the doorknob when doing the dirty with Supermann?

Did Supermann wear them that night? If so I don't need them back.

Did you smell them? Before or after washing??

Help I can't stop...

See ya Thurs. I'm guessing ride time is 8?

Ride time is 8 am!! He took them off before we ate at Wahoo's that night, I washed them after and they've been sitting on the floor so I don't forget them

denmother [11-20-2007 08:20 AM] - Denmother and Roger are in!! This should be interesting, we have never ridden Up, only Down.
Just take it kinda easy at the bottom.. I dunno if you guys have climbed many switchbacks? They kinda suck Just be thankful you have gears!! Last time I SS SJT this is what happened (CAUTION, gore):

Fell on a cut off tree/bush on a switchback turn.

Then this on a short little descent heading into Blue Jay campground:

Last but not least, I face planted just at the trail split down from Blue Jay:

I was in tears over that one.

At least I wasn't alone:

Good times.

This is a great trail to SS but I do not think the knee is up to the task... I may still bring gears... or just walk a little more

Anyone coming up from SD and interested in carpooling? I'm up north and can meet anywhere along the 5 or the 15. Departure and return times are flexible. I just don't want to drive solo. email or call

Hey Maurice.. we won't be able to do carpools from Temecula I don't think. Probably heading straight to my grandparents when we are done! Hope it works out.

Looks like I'll be staying in OC tonight so I may not need a ride but if someone wants to carpool, call anyway just in case.

a&j - Off to grandma's house you go. I'm jealous. My grandmother won't even freeze dry food and send it from MO to CA.
