Gonna hit up Elfin for a quickie before my honey-do-day. Meet at 830, ride by 9.
Up the Way Up to Equine Incline and maybe again in reverse then down the Way up. Maybe throw in Tykes Hike for the hell of it.

Hey Mark, I have an appt on Saturday afternoon which forced me to change my work schedule. (i usually have off on Sat. but was working this one)

starting that late would mean too many run-ins with hikers. i feel your pain with early rise times though.

Can someone please post directions to the trailhead from the southbay, I haven't done Elfin, do I need an extra set of lungs?

From San Diego: Take I-15 North and exit at Valley Pkwy in Escondido, go south 1 block to Auto Parkway and turn right. Turn left on Howard Ave. (about 1/2 mile). Turn right on Harmony Grove Rd. Stay on Harmony Grove Rd. for about 3 miles to Elfin Forest on your left.

And yes, bring your lungs and climbing legs.

Red Jeep Cherokee and red 06 Stumpy(hitch rack).

AWESOME!!! Jose-can't wait to ride w/ya! Don,t worry guys, this won't be a hammer fest. I'm saving that for Sunday...anyone want to join me?

CHANGE OF PLANS!!!ride will start at 9.
this will give people more time to get here, BUT we will be climbing by 9!

If I get in early, I think I'll go ahead and start climbing. I'll be the guy hiking his silver Speshy up the Way Up.
