This is a noob questions, but does it cost $$$ to get into or park at Southridge? Seems like a "skate park" atmosphere from the website.

It's a free city park type area. Pull in and park. The events are just held by a group/family. When there are no events it's just open space.

anyone willing to show up an hour or two early and help me get my bike together? Afterwards we can screw around on the 4x track til the rest get there.

To-do list:
Adjust hayes hydro brakes so they dont rub
size chain and put it on
tune front and rear derailer
Put air in my fox dhx 5.0 air (dont have a pump or knowledge of where to put it and how much to fill it up).

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Default I have an idea.

If you bring an umbrella you wont have to peddle. The wind blew me off course A couple of times. Be carefull. Always jump in the direction of the wind. The 4 X track was really dry and slippery. Still fun though.

Most importantly have fun and start small.

Us as many pads as you have available.\

Wish I could have made this one, I bet its pretty windy right now too.. The 4X track is fun-crashed there yesterday. Can we do Clinics once a month or something? that would be nice... oh and only on Fridays or Saturdays! haha

Tell me about it! I was like a rag doll in a tornado..

Hey guys- I drove all the way up there from SD(2 hours), ended up in Beumont (Mapquest is bunk), got stuck in traffic on the 60 west coming back for 45 minutes, and just went home.

Nathan(little long haired hippy) took a bit of a spill at the top on a jump(scraped his elbow), he would have landed it if he wasn't so stiff, but this is his first time mountain biking. Sorry to see you leave so soon it was a lot of fun. Thanks for the air it was a life saver.

I would have been there but I am beat I need to rest I have to work tomorrow.
Tellme more about how things went. Did anyone hit the DH course. I would have been down for showing you the DH run. What was the best jump to practice on?

The 2 jumps I think might be good for beginners would be the ones at the end of the DH run.
