Default SJT: Anybody have Veterans' Day Off?

Let's celebrate the reopening. I haven't ridden the San Juan Trail in a few years or anything close to this intensity for awhile, so I'm probably just up for the lower loop (unless the drugs kick in at Cocktail Rock).

Let's start to meet around 8:45 (don't forget the Adventure Pass) and we'll put our knees to the breeze at 9. Let me know if you need any details or want to carpool.

*** This is not a shuttle ride. We're starting from the bottom (Hot Springs Canyon Rd. parking lot).

Yes it does. I don't know or have never worked in any company that gives that day off. Unless it's some type of city job, gov, etc. Unless a vet works in any of those places chances are they are not getting that day off or any special thing for that matter. Kind of sad i think.

Got to love government jobs. I also get both Lincoln's and Washington's birthday, MLK, a banked holiday for Thanksgiving Friday because is a 9/80 off Friday. The only major holiday I don't get is Columbus day.

Uhg...I've had a total of 2 days off in atleast 5 months but I get a few hours during the day to ride so can't complain. Just sucks having to miss all your morning call times if there's a ride I want to join I work every morning. Holidays are my busiest having a petsitting business. Hit me up for pet care if you're going away in the Upland area .
