Aliso newbie/intermediate ride: 11-10-07

time: 7:30 nearly ready to roll

(sorry- i know it's early, but we've got crowds to beat...and Gene's "tour day Aliso" (aka Bob Roll)...and Crash's "push-a-kona" - jeebus- STR's going to overrun Aliso! )

where: church/main parking lot at aliso.

why: I'm going out with a friend who's new and will lilkely only do one loop (main road, coyote, cholla, and down rockit or lynx) and head back to the car.

at this point, those of us who want to do another loop, can head off and hit another loop of some choice.

anyone in?!?! only pending issue might be the weather- some weather sources suggest rain in the next few days, but like any of believe weathermen, right?!?

how long of a ride do you think it'll end up being? i may be interested if my friend will wake up.

well, i think the short ride will be about 7 miles- the shortest it could be would be up the main valley to the base of cholla and back. we'd likely hit Dripping cave and Coyote both up and/or back just to keep it on as much singletrack as possible.

my wife is getting back on her bike after over 1.5 years off, so it's likely to be a leisurely pace.

you sure you dont want to meet at MILF park where the normal saturday morning ride starts from? i dont know what to do at this point, ride the normal morning ride or be the photog for the push-kona ride
