Default Sunday OCR Newbie/Beg. ride.....

Not sure where this goes, and I aint the best at this stuff so.....

But we have a beginner ride usually every Sunday at the top of Reseda at Mulholland Park. All are welcome.

Well usually take off on the single track up to Mully then over to the Hub and then to the 'Foundation'.....some old remains of a flagstone bulding.

I'ts a pretty mellow spin and a great way to catch up on stuff, meet new faces, recover from the thrashing of the Simi Ride etc. Sometimes advanced riders will take off after for longer, harder jaunts as well.

Either or- it was pretty warm yesterday and drier than a pop-corn fart. I was gagging just trying to middle ring it and my tounge got stuck to my teeth several times. I'm really glad the Santa Ana winds were not blowing because it had that 'feel' to the air...no humidity and warm temps. Bad combo and our firefighters deserve a rest.
The trail was devoid of any traction as well- the dirt was freaking crunchy and the conditions were perfect for a massive digger. So chill on the off-cambers or risk a collar bone.
There's usually a ton of hikers on the less than remote area's so caution is due there as well as an oppertunity to cement goodwill realtions between them and us. But it was light traffic wise and things were low key the vibe was great.

This ride is pretty mellow and all about a good time, vet's helping the newb's out and getting a little (lot) silly.
After all- we were all beginners once, right?

A teamate shot a couple pics (I don't own a camera)waiting for peeps to cach up ....so ......enjoy and maybe we'll see ya out there (I'm constantly scannign for STR's jerseys)- don't be shy, cuz we aint! (guess who's throwing the 'shocker' and wearing the polka-dot sock):

0830- top of Reseda just before the pay-to-park line, South of the 101.

I'll be shaking down and deflowering the SS I built last night.

Bring tools, bring band-aids, bringa Bible!
