Thumbs up A "Little" Tree Trimming

Somewhere I'd heard that there was a tree down blocking the Trabuco Trail, so I went out there to check it out this morning.

This is how the tree looked when I got there......

And this is how the trail looked when I left......

It only took me a little over an hour using my Christmas Tree saw, and my axe.
I met up with a ranger after I was done, and he let me know that he really appreciated the fact that I cared about the trail enough to spend my own time working on it for all of us to enjoy.

By the way, he was handing out tickets to the cars without an Addventure Pass. He let me slide.

It's nice to spend a little alone time on the trail every now and then.

Now that's the way it should be done! No requirements needed at all. Everybody has busy lives and when trail work hours are required to belong it's not worth it. When we have time we all do our part. Hats off to you dude!

Before reading the post and knowing you, I figured that it was some bush clearing that you did with your body during a crash...glad I was wrong.

I my experience if you do trail work the rangers will always let you park for free.

Thanks Darin, now I need to go out there and ride it.

I have a distinct feeling there will be more trees down after these high winds are through in the canyons... we'll see next Sat when we go do the trail work on Trabuco....

That may be the tree the WS was going to clear this Sat. We have trailwork scheduled for Trabuco on the 27th. If it is the tree, thanks Darin.

Yeah, it WAS the tree.

All for not now.

I'm sure there is gonna be plenty of trail work for everybody to get involved with after the fires are done.

The good thing is, that the trails will still be there. The beauty of the mountain will restore it's self with time.

Default Nope

Keith E. and I met up at The Path and were going to go up Trabuco, and down East Horsethief, but decided it was just a "little" too windy.

Probably a good thing, looking back on it now.
