I am liking these 'home dirt' ride reports. Nice job.

Oh, and IMHO, we need a closer crop for that vogue shot avatar:

Awesome--thanks. I'm at work now so I can't take change up the avatar pic, but you sure better believe I will as soon as I get home.

I'm planning on hosting a Tour De SMaRT around the first of the year when the trails firm up a little bit for anyone that's interested. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's not a well known area. I can work up a 20+ mile, 2,000'+ climbing day if that's what everyone wants.

Oh, it's not that bad. It's not that fun either.

That wasn't going to be on the flight plan for the Tour.

Ya, I finished going up a sandy climb and then ripping through a fun flowy section when I got the idea to "hand-cam" the next section. In hindsight I probably should've caught my breath first.

Oh well.

I was just looking at the pic again when I noticed the log is a good 3-4" higher than my hub--which in a 26" wheel is already 13" high and then add another inch or two for the tire.

So the log is around 18" give or take.
That's what she said...
