RR: San Juan Trail - Cocktail Rock - Night Ride

Well everything went as planned. Craig Epic, myself, and Jose showed up right on time. Matt decided to bail at the last moment. Bummer. We hit the trail a little after 7pm. It was dark enough that we had to turn our lights on right from the get go. Prior to leaving though, we had to wait around for Jose to get his crap together...He was messin' with all this crap and asking for tools and screwdrivers.....

Anyways, it was Jose's and Craig's first time riding San Juan at night. I think that everyone had a great time. All of us stuck together and packed it up to Cocktail. Once we arrived, we hung out for a few. Then the fun started.... On the way down, we were all lovin' it.

Back at the bottom, Craig Epic opened up a few Stoney IPA's. I owe both of you guys bottles of my homebrew...I won't forget...I PROMISE!

Good times everyone. I had a blast... Maybe if anyone is interested, we can get another night ride together soon!!

Must have been cool with the full moon last night. Did you guys turn your lights off and use the moonlight on the way up?

foOO real guys!! had a kick ASS time last night!! The climb was killing me hardcore but when we got to the top all I can think of was the nice sweet fast DROP!! WOOOOOHHHAAAA!!! that had to be the best run I have had in a long while. It was fast and I had no crashes so that was a nice change!! a few duBs here and there but pretty much cleaned almost all the switchbacks so, felt like a chamP!! over all had a good time!! Thanks mUch and count me in for the next joiNT!!

Jose did for a little while, but with the terrain being a little technical, it made it difficult. If depth perception didn't matter and we were climbing a fire road, we most definately would have turned off the lights...
