Exclamation mammoth 7/14-7/16

dont really dig the whole RR deal, soi ill try to make it sweet. me and my bug matt went up to mammoth this past weekend for two days of riding. thought i might as weel try to ride mammoth before leaving for college this thrusday. overall a great time and cant wait to go back.

left friday around noon and made it up around 6pm, enuf time to stop and check out footloose. we were sleeping in my dads SUV in matt's friends driveway in mammoth lakes.( horrible idea) it was below 40 the first night and must have been colder saturday night. did some shoulder tapping for some brew and hit the hot tub. met some people and then went to bed. what i didnt know is that my friend matt is a horriblke snorer (sp.) and i only got about 4hrs of sleep.

FIRST DAY OF RIDING:
this being my first day of riding for most of the summer, and first time at mammoth, i was real stoked. hit all the bomb trails, velocity, chain smoke, and a gang of others. rode from 930am- 430pm. a long, full day. lots of nice features concurred and lots of close calls. then went and got some pizza, went to rite-aid to shoulder tap again, and had a good few hrs at the hot tub with a 30pack. much colder night, but slept very well.

SECOND DAY OF RIDING:
Knew i wanted to hit some bigger things today( flow drop, and sclehyer-esque drop) headed out to find these drops and after finding em, decided to think on em. looked great but wasnt really feelin em. hit kamikaze park and hit the wall ride a few times( real fun) finished around 1 without falling until the parking lot, where i decided to fool around a bit, threw my feet over the handle bars and rode, then went no-hands. dropped like a log on my arse, popped the Ti rail outta my saddle and turned the h-bar. got in the car and dipped home. long drive in the sun, but had a great time.

so thats about it. enjoy my pics. sorry for having soo many and such a large size.

HERES A FEW

i got a bunch, most are in the photobucket album here
http://s33.photobucket.com/albums/d52/joshsulli/

some great stuff in mammoth, hope all STRers have fun and stay safe. also, some real great ppl who work there guy named bret at mccoy and austin at main.

At least we can spot you in a crowd!! jk

Thanks for the RR. I HIGHLY recommend wax earplugs. Especially for anyone that is unlucky enough to get stuck sleeping near me next weekend.

Good thing I wasn't around, you would need the plugs for your nose! Nice way to end your summer before heading off to college.

Putting stickers on things, that's so immature, especially an Incycle sticker.

Are you the more colorful and long-lost brother of Nicolas Cage??!!

Nice way to mount that SC bike on the hitch rack, I haven't seen that before.

Entertaining pix, thanks!

Aw..c'mon. Don't make me sound like an old timer. Nicolas Cage is not that old school, albeit his latest Ghost Rider bombed.

So no rack at all? How did you mount the bikes? I couldn't see clearly from the picture.
