Default Just Discovered: Yet More Tahoe Pics.

Gave the memory card some much needed attention and finally uploaded my Tahoe pics. from the trip last month. A little late, I know, but there's a reputation to uphold here!

For more pics. from the trip, be sure to check out stjunkie's Tahoe thread. You'll find a nice RR written by sheclimbs there, too.

Now, on to the pics:

On the way there. Interesting smoke/cloud formations outside Pearsonville.

Day 1, Armstrong Pass to Saxon Creek (Mr. Toads).

Doh! Forgot the camera--see stjunkie's thread referenced above for pics. from that ride

Day 2, Meiss Meadow, Dardanelles Lake, and Christmas Valley.

Lots of smoke/ haze this day from a fire in neighboring Stanislaus County.

Sheclimbs, descending.

On the shore of Round Lake.

Stjunkie.

Sheclimbs.

Meiss cabin and barn, Meiss Meadow.

The ubiquitous North American Steppie, in its natural state and habitat.

Dardanelles Lake.

Yeah, one of those.

An older burn area on the Christmas Valley descent.

Day 3, Tahoe Rim Trail to the Flume Trail and Marlette Lake.

Lake Tahoe, from the TRT.

Sand Harbor, from the Flume Trail.

Sorry, Marlette Lake pics. were left on the cutting room floor.

Day 4, Hole in the Ground.

Stjunkie tops the initial climb.

Good_ol'_slappy.

Sand Ridge Lake. Simply beautiful.

Tried to find a nicer spot for lunch, but there was no such place. Sand Ridge Lake.

Clip of Good_ol'slappy rolling a nice, off-camber granite wall. Hole in the Ground trail.

Dstepper, Lower Lola Montez Lake.

Day 5, Northstar Bike Park.

Good_ol'_slappy, drop on Pho Dogg trail.

Long, steep rock garden on Karpiel trail. Nasty.

Got a kick out of this. Note the disclaimer, followed closely by the emergency #. Classic!

Clip of Good_ol'_slappy, log ride on Over-Under trail. Option here is to ride the log "over," or take the trail "under." At mid-point on the log, your head is about 12' off the ground--pretty hairy (to me, at least), despite the big, stable, 8" Faiths we were riding. Log ends in a 4' drop back to the trail.

Clip of me on same log, shot from the "under" trail.

Farewell shot. Was headed home before sunrise the next day. Lake Tahoe, on the way back from Northstar.

Been said before, but I'll mention it again here. Couldn't have asked for a more gracious host than Dean. What a class act. Thanks again to him and the rest of the crew for having me. And if it's at all possible, I'll see you guys there again next year.

O.K. fine, bonus clip. Good_ol'_slappy rolls a rickety ladder off the cabin's garage roof. Steeper than it looks.

Yep...its how I ride. When (not if) I crash, it usually ends up in an atomic endo.
