Hey peoples! I have a couple questions: What is the name of the FR going into Laguna Coast park after the gate at the end of Moro Ridge rd? Is it Bommer ridge rd? I want to ride old emerald and then get back into El moro. I'm gonna be starting from the ridgepark rd entrance and was thinkin of starting my ride with this route; the only thing is i'm not sure of the names and correct route of the FR in Laguna Coast as i pieced together info from various sites.
Trailhead at ridgepark rd and then head down fenceline and missing link. L onto moro ridge rd; follow all the way to gate which enters Laguna coast? (from here i'm not sure where bommer ridge rd is but i'm hoping for signage) anyways will use my instincts and assume heading down bommer ridge rd R at ST entrance onto old emerald (how obvious is the ST; are there other ST offshoots before old emerald?) once at the bottom hang a R onto Emerald cyn FR; ride all the way up to Bommer ridge rd. L@ bommer ridge rd. then back to gate and continue rest of the ride. Sorry for the late request and crazy incoherent description but i'm hoping that someone can help me out by correcting me or verifying my route. Thanks in advance! If you want you can join me tomorrow on the ride. (will start around 8a - 8:30a as i will be waiting for some LA based guys to meet up with) That is just the start of my ride. |

That is correct. That FR is Bommer Ridge. It actually parallels Fenceline and it will take you all the way to the top of Old Emerald. There is a trail marker on Bommer Ridge on the left side of the trail (Old Emerald drops down to the right). At the bottom of the single track, climb your way out of the canyon until you intersect Bommer again.
I'm actually going to ride there at 8. We are probably take Rattlesnake, loop around the park, and then go down into LCWP. I hope this helps. |
